The Polycom Soundstation range of Audio Conferencing Phones are the worlds best selling range of phones for audio conferencing applications. The range includes connectivity for analogue lines and extensions, digital extensions for selected PBX's and IP Confernece phones.
The Polycom Soundstation range includes the Polycom Soundstation 2, Soundstation 2W Wireless and Polycom VTX Audio Conference Phones.
The majority of conference phones are for connection to ANALOGUE telephone lines and ANALOGUE telephone extension ports for the simple reason that if Polycom made conference phones to connect to a digital extension port of a phone system then they would have to make individual conference phones for Avaya, Samsung, Panasonic, Siemens, Nortel, Alcatel, Aastra, Toshiba etc, but all of the phone systems made by these manufacturers have one thing in common - they can all have analogue extension cards installed to connect standard analogue telephone devices such as fax machines, conference phones, door entry and paging systems.

The Polycom Soundstation 2W EX is the expandable version of the Soundstation 2W and enables the connection of wired expansion microphones to the main conference phone unit. The Titan Konexx Digital Adapter allows you to connect an analogue conference phone to a digital system telephone. It works in the same way as a headset amplifier base and connects between the telephone base and handset. Calls need to be made using the digital system phone, with the conference phone used as a high quality speakerphone addition. The Titan Konexx Digital Adapter is used where no suitable analogue extension from the phone system can be provided.
