The Option Globesurfer III HSUPA 3G Router is packed with new and unique features, the Globesurfer® III pushes the boundaries of conventional gateway routers. The Option Globesurfer III uses a Qualcomm 7225 chipset, this clever device offers HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps, as well as AWS support - making it a forerunner in the bandwidth market.

The Option Globesurfer III HSUPA 3G Router comes with full telephone functionality, including composing, reading and managing SMS text messages. Hard drives and printers can be connected via the integrated USB port. This means users have access to a central storage system, allowing them to back-up critical files, or share files across the LAN. Multimedia files such as MP3s or AVIs can be streamed across the network. A printer can be conveniently located and used by all connected PCs.

The Globesurfer® III is easy to use, with just two buttons and a clear, colour display screen. The browser has been subdivided into two sections, so users who only require basic features such as SMS, Telephone, Quick - Set-Up and Security can perform all these tasks without having to navigate through more complex functions within the advanced section.

The Globesurfer X.1 is a compact gateway router device that allows a Mobile Broadband USB stick to be used to create an instant WiFi hotspot, enabling a data connection to be shared amongst multiple devices.

The device uses no installation software, as its built in browser GUI (Graphical User Interface) will enable users to access the features by simply opening any Internet browser (such as Explorer, Safari,FireFox and Opera).

When no USB Modem is inserted into the Globesurfer X.1, the device will still establish a LAN (Local Area Network), and allow computers supporting Wi-Fi to access the networking features of the device. Clients without Wi-Fi can also connect via the Ethernet ports on the rear of the device.

Topex Bytton HSDPA 3G Router

The Topex Bytton HSDPA is a combined Voice and Internet Gateway, billable Wi-Fi Hotspot, SMS Gateway and 3G Router in one device.

The Topex Bytton HSDPA Router is aimed at the Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) market, individual power users or providers of a public and/or private Wi-Fi hotspots.

The Topex Bytton will connect at the maximum speed to a 3G network anywhere in the UK or Europe. If no 3G HSDPA connection is made the Topex Bytton will use standard UMTS 3G connection.

Once connected to a 3G network, the Topex Bytton will allow up to 4 computers to connect via cable or any number of computers can be connected wirelessly with speeds up to 54Mbps.

Topex include the facility to use the Bytton HSDPA as a chargeable Wi-Fi hotspot. The ability to use either an account or PIN number based access lets you set up the Bytton HSDPA either permanently or to regulate the users.

At the core of the Bytton HSDPA is a 3G wireless router designed to work as a stand alone unit where no fixed telephone line is available or in conjunction with normal telephone systems. With the Topex Bytton HSDPA telephone calls can be made from conventional land line handsets and sent via the mobile phone network of your SIM card.

The Topex Bytton will enable use of Least Cost Routing by sending land line calls out to the telephone line but routing calls to mobiles via its SIM card making the call a mobile-to-mobile call. In many cases, this can quickly reduce overall call costs.

The SMS service built into the Topex Bytton HSDPA has all the features you would expect: Call Back for voice and SMS, web-browser based reading, replying and sending of SMS messages plus an Email-to-SMS and the reverse, SMS-to-Email, facility. It can also show current network registration information and signal strength.

The Topex Bytton HSDPA 3G Router is supplied unlocked and SIM free and can be used with Contract or PayAsYouGo SIM cards. It is recommend to use a Contract SIM card activated with a data-plan tariff suitable for the amount of traffic you intend to send and receive.
