Telecom FM Cellroute AC Analogue FCT Ref: Cellroute AC

The Telecom FM Cellroute AC is a single SIM analogue Fixed Cellular Terminal which is ideal to connect to the analogue trunk port of a PBX phone system to enable calls to be made from the PBX extension phones, directly over the GSM network. FCT (Fixed Cellular Terminals) are also known as premicell or GSM Gateway, are commonly used to enable low cost or free calls to mobile phones.

FCT's are increasingly being used in FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) solutions, which basically means that many new phone systems will allow calls to a persons extension to also be made out from the phone system, via a telephone line, to their mobile phone, and the call can be answered on either the extension or mobile phone. Instead of using a standard landline for the call and paying upwards of 7.0ppm for the diverted call, an FCT can be used, with a SIM card that enable free calls to the company's own mobile phones, thus enabling the convenience of FMC, without the high pence per minute cost of diverting the calls via a standard phone line.
